GlobalMedia To Exhibit at ATA 2008
Demonstrating the latest advancements in Telehealth Solutions
Scottsdale, AZ (PRWEB) March 3, 2008 -- GlobalMedia, a leader in telemedicine solutions, today announced its participation in the 2008 American Telemedicine Association (ATA) Conference in Seattle, Wash. ATA, the leading resource and advocate promoting access to medical care for consumers and health professionals via telecommunications technology, regularly organizes meetings that attract thousands of individuals from across the international telehealth spectrum.
"We've built a good relationship with ATA and their members," said Joel E. Barthelemy, Managing Director of GlobalMedia. "The Seattle ATA Conference provides an excellent venue to demonstrate the results of our substantial investment in telemedicine to the practicing community."
President's Circle member GlobalMedia will debut breakthrough technology for the greater telemedicine community at the April conference. Focused for use in a broad range of medical applications, each is designed to increase the quality, effectiveness and overall efficiency of health care delivery. Conference attendees can visit GlobalMedia at Booth 501, April 6th-8th.
Scheduled to be demonstrated is the TotalExam camera, the first digital high-resolution camera to combine dual-focus, freeze frame capture and electronic image polarization in one camera device. This multi-purpose digital camera has wide applications in primary care, emergency medicine/trauma care, dermatology, ophthalmology, wound care and is an excellent device to document abuse. Combined with GlobalMedia's CapSure "Store-and-Forward" software application, the TotalExam examination camera is the "do-it-all" examination camera.
For legacy conferencing systems an analog version of TotalExam can be utilized in medical applications over existing teleconferencing systems like Polycom, Tandberg, LifeSize, Vcon and Sony.
Also on display will be the new i2100c digital video camera, a 1600 x 1200 high resolution camera that provides enhanced collaborative solutions for pathology, grossing stations, dermatology and biology.
"The fact that our products lead the industry in providing innovative solutions to telemedicine practitioners is a direct reflection of our ability to listen to the 'thought leaders' in telemedicine and respond by developing solutions to further their capabilities and ultimately, help them save lives," said Barthelemy.
