GlobalMedia receives FCC and CE marks with the TotalExam™!

Scottsdale, AZ, December 15/ PRNewswire –
GlobalMedia Group, LLC, a world leader in innovative telemedicine solutions and medical camera technology, announced today that it has received the FCC part 15 subpart B Class A and the CE Mark Declaration of Conformity (DoC) including the IEC 60601-1-2 “Medical Electrical Equipment” mark. CE Mark clearance from the European Union certifies GlobalMedia has met health, safety and environmental requirements for consumer safety.

“This really shows that the TotalExam has a very solid reputation for excellence and quality as a medical grade instrument,” said Michael D.
Harris, Development Director for GlobalMedia. “The TotalExam was designed as a workhorse for the most demanding medical and emergency environments and this validates our extensive efforts in designing a quality American innovation,” he added. The TotalExam is the first digital exam camera to combine dual-focus, freeze frame capture, and Skin Tone Balancing (STB) in one medical device. This multipurpose examination camera has wide applications in primary care, emergency medicine/trauma care, dermatology, ophthalmology, wound care and
is an excellent device to document physical and sexual abuse. In addition to the exam room, this very portable, light-weight camera can be used for imaging requirements associated with educational life science applications and even autopsies.

“This really gives us the edge on our competitors and the rest of the world,” states Jay Culver, Sales Director for GlobalMedia. “It stands as a
commitment of excellence to our customers and I am very excited and proud that this camera was been designed and manufactured by GlobalMedia. The TotalExam cam is the future of examinations.”

Using the TotalExam™ camera in conjunction with GlobalMedia's newest “Store-and-Forward” software solution, CapSure®, providers can manage client medical images within the most popular EMR (Electronic Medical Record) system or the pan-Canadian iEHR (Interoperable Electronic Health Record) system.

“I am honored by all the stakeholders making the TotalExam the very best product on the market,” said Joel E. Barthelemy, managing director for
GlobalMedia. “Both TotalExam and the CapSure solution are the main reasons that customers like the Veterans Health Administration have chosen GlobalMedia for one of the single largest deployments of telemedicine in history.”

“The TotalExam Camera ROCKS!” says Dr. Dave Robertson, an Osteopathic Doctor at Burn Outpatient Services/Telemedicine Development, Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix AZ. It is the only telemedicine hand cam that has a Woods lamp incorporated into the light, which makes it perfect for fluorescein eye examination and dermatology assessments.
